Clinic & treatment

We are a specialist clinic. We know what injuries and symptoms can be obtained after sexual abuse and we use methods that are adapted to treat both injuries and symptoms. WONSA takes in patients from age 12 and up, regardless of gender identity, type of sexual abuse and regardless of how long ago the abuse occurred.

Most of our employees have worked with us for several years, and when new employees are added, they complete an in-house training before they start meeting patients. This means that whether you are talking to a doctor, receptionist, psychologist, psychotherapist, nurse or administrative staff, everyone knows what it can mean to have been subjected to various types of abuse, and how difficult it is to seek help.

In order to be able to help as many people as possible as well as possible, existing knowledge needs to be disseminated and new knowledge developed. Therefore, training and research is ongoing at the clinic.
